The Prokon Model
This is the Prokon Model step-by-step

Current Situation Analysis
A current situation analysis is preferably done with a work sampling study which measures the distribution of value adding time and waste. A major focus during this study is to sort disruptions into subcategories. These subcategories can be pinpointed with an improvement, and thus easing the prioritizing of improvement work. In addition to the focused improvement work does the study provide a factor of additional time for the remaining waste in the production.
Method and work study
We evaluate the methods that are being used in your specific production. We use a systematic way of identifying the best methods that are being used by the operators, and simultaneously measure the time consumption of every method. All the methods are described and categorized into a so call method library, and the methods are further on put together into each individual product’s work process. We call this a generic time documentation. Most companies today are very oriented in their time consumption per product, while we focus on which working methods that are being used per work station and how much time each working method take.
Evaluation of production
Just like an athlete, a production team need a performance indicator to compare themselves over time. We help Your company to collect the necessary data, set up a performance indicator of the production and assist You regarding how to present the performance, for both the production team and the management team.
Improvement planning
Our consultants continuously collect and document all the improvements found during the project. We are usually finished with our part of the work before all these improvements has been implemented, we therefore calculate the return on investment (ROI) for each improvement and help the company’s technicians to prioritize them. When these improvements further on has been taken into realization, and a greater efficiency has been reached, it is time to start from the beginning of the cycle and set new goals towards an even more effective production.
